Miguel Baró Bo (Chamber music). Miguel Baró Bo, is born in Murcia in 1944 where he lived in an artistic family environment. Their mother was a grateful writer and painter which guided him toward the music. It began their musical studies in the Conservatory of Murcia with José Carrasco and José Salas. It concluded their studies with the Prize Extraordinary and he left to Madrid to study with José Cubiles in his Class of Virtuosity. Later their artistic preparation continued in the courses in Siena (Italy) with Guido Agosti, in Saint-Hubert (Belgium) with Frieda Valenzi and Salzburg (Austria) with Winfried Wolf. He won a scholarship by the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, the Caja de Ahorros del Sureste and the Dotación de Arte Castellblanch. In 1966 he entered as professor of the Conservatory of Murcia like piano teacher, beginning an educational trajectory that arrives until our days, having formed to an important number of musicians that at the moment are outstanding professionals. In 1987, he won the oppositions for class of Chamber Music and from then is regular of the Cátedra of this music's specialty in Superior Conservatory "Manuel Massotti Littel" of Murcia. As piano soloist he has carried out an intense activity for the whole national geography, besides tours of concerts for the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. Miguel Baró has also carried out an important as performer of chamber music, making duet with the violinist Joaquín Palomares and the violoncellists Vicente Perelló and Mariano Melguizo. He has also played with the String Quartet Almus, carrying out diverse tours of concerts, among them, one for the Czech Republic that culminated in Prague in 1994. He has dedicated a special attention to the murcian composers, as Mario Medina, José Agüera, Julián Santos, José Salas, Muñoz Quarry, César Cánovas, Miguel Franco, etc., disclosing their music, making numerous recordings for National Radio and a disk with the most interesting in two of them: Mario Medina and José Agüera. He has also carried out an extensive divulging work through the Territorial Centers of National Radio and Spanish Television in Murcia with diverse didactic and informative programs. Since 1976 he’s Director of the Fernández Caballero’ Chorus during five years, carrying out with the choir infinity of performances inside of and outside of our country, as well as the recording of two disks with Columbia, with the repertoire of the folklore of Murcia. In the Superior Conservatory of Music of Murcia, he carries out for 36 years an intense work like educational that has been completed with the administration in the last times, since after being during three years Boss of Studies, in 1999 Director of the Conservatory. In 2002 he’s named member of the Real Academy of Fine Arts of Santa María of the Arrixaca. |
